Primrose Hill, London and Iolo the Welsh wizard

 

What’s happening?  I’ll be walking up Primrose Hill in central London to find out about an open air ceremony there in 1792 that sparked a revival of the Welsh eisteddfod movement, founded on a prayer for peace. I’ll be joined by Rhian Medi, a local resident who successfully campaigned to have a memorial placed at the top of the hill to Iolo Morgannwg, the remarkable man with a cultural vision that changed the face of 19th century Wales.
