Llangyfelach – St David and the big storm
return to Landscapes of Faith festival journeys
It’s not every day you see a church tower standing alone. A completely detached structure. Well, that’s what we are going to explore at Llangyfelach on the edge of Swansea…
The rest of the old church fell down in a storm one night and a new church was built a little further away.
Here the patron saint of Wales, David, had a Christian community in the age of the Celtic saints and there are still ancient stones and resonances on this lovely hilltop.
